Electrical contractor with a high-voltage background
StromWert Erneuerbare Energien GmbH, based in Berlin, designs, builds and looks after battery storage and PV systems for businesses with high power consumption. We handle the grid connection ourselves, from the connection request to commissioning with the network operator.
Whether a battery pays off depends on the electricity price, self-consumption and the load profile. We calculate it with your business’s data before you invest – and we tell you when the answer is no.

How we work
Turnkey through to handover
We coordinate design, procurement and all subcontractors. Qualified specialist contractors carry out the work in line with the applicable DIN VDE standards; testing, documentation, commissioning and an orderly handover are part of it. One point of contact holds the interfaces together.
LFP batteries with direct manufacturer access
Direct contact with battery manufacturers in China and coordination with their engineering teams, from design to commissioning. In addition, personal exchange with the management of a manufacturer in Shanghai and a visit to a PV module plant in Vietnam.
Short paths in the preparatory work
We prepare recurring project work such as network operator applications with AI-assisted workflows. The technical review stays with us; deadlines set by network operators and authorities remain as they are.

Six rooftop PV systems on halls and commercial buildings between 70 and 330 kWp, 1,031.96 kWp in total, all commissioned in 2025. References with photos

Gennaker and Ostwind 3 offshore substations
Two offshore substation platforms for the Gennaker wind farm in the German Baltic Sea and 50Hertz’s Ostwind 3 grid connection project: involvement in installation and commissioning, focusing on secondary systems and quality assurance.
Most recently for 50Hertz
On behalf of 50Hertz Offshore GmbH: quality assurance of the secondary systems in a substation of an offshore grid connection – cabinet and terminal inspections, punch lists and test records in line with the transmission system operator’s safety and compliance rules.
Commissioning onshore and offshore
More than 20 years of commissioning and quality assurance in wind energy, including projects for the transmission system operators (TSOs) 50Hertz and TenneT, in international teams.
66 kV and 220 kV
Project experience at 66 kV and 220 kV substations, including the complete protection and secondary systems.
Jan Gerstein
Managing Director and responsible qualified electrician. Trained electrician, then more than 20 years in wind energy, above all in commissioning and quality assurance onshore and offshore. Fluent in English, used to international project teams, most recently with an assignment in the Netherlands.
Switching authorisation for medium-voltage installations, with assignments in Germany and abroad; switching is always carried out within the plant operator’s own authorisation framework.
